My nanny rides a scooter!
Oh, her name is Kay.
She comes to stay with me,
When my parents are away.
Kay is here, all week long,
from morning until night.
She drives a bright pink scooter.
It's really quite a sight!
Kay and I play games each day,
She makes a lunch for me.
We laugh and read my books aloud,
Or practice A-B-C's.
On sunny days we go outside,
and play a game of ball.
We roll down a grassy hill,
Or do nothing really, at all.
If I'm sleepy in the afternoon,
My nanny reads to me.
Then she tucks me into bed,
and sings a song for me.
When it's time for Mom and Dad
to come back home each night,
Kay and I pick up my toys,
and clean my room up right.
Mom and Dad are home for supper,
so Kay hugs me goodbye,
I watch her put her helmet on,
and see a twinkle in her eye.
Through the window, we watch Kay leave,
her scooter flashing bright!
She waves as she drives away,
and zips quickly out of sight.
Tomorrow Kay comes back again.
She'll ask, “Did you get cuter?”
But I think she's the funny one,
My nanny rides a scooter!
